On World Kidney Day (14 March 2018) Tourism Plus Foundation organised Health Talk Show at Manipal Hospital, Dwarka. The talk show was attended by approx 100 friends, volunteers n invitees.
The session was conducted by Dr. Saurabh Pokhariyal, HOD of Nephrology and Dr. Sanjay Gogoi, HOD of Urology &Dr. Shafiq Ahmed, Consultant in Urology while Dr. Shraddha was coordinating for the program. The program started with information on kidney function followed by symptoms & problem detection and curative possibilities. The QA Session lasted more than 30 minutes and the doctors replied to all queries of the attendees.
Almost all attendees were interested to know about organ donation and the Hospital arranged for a lecture on legal aspects and procedures involved in organ donation and acceptance. People were so much moved that more 40 persons made a pledge to donate organs/tissues and gave an undertaking to this effect.
The program ended with a vote of thanks by Shanu Wadhwa and Vijay Wadhwa to the Doctors & the Hospital for the Health Talk and the sumptuous lunch served to all inviters.
During interacting with guests/invitees, they expressed their happiness to have attended the Talk Show as well as for the lunch served. Such was the response that everyone wished to attend Health Talk Programs in future as well
